Do you remember me blogging about getting our pictures done on Tuesday and our fun adventure in Huntsville?? Well Erin was nice enough to get a few sneak peeks up for me on her blog! I think the first few are just AMAZING and I am on the count down to see the rest of them on May 10th! I know what am I doing to myself waiting a whole 'nother 10 days to see them, but I guess it makes up for that I get to: 1. Go by Myself (I sure hope the car works okay this time!) 2. See Emily 3. Take Emily with me to see the pictures 4. Spend a little bit of money (well okay a lot of money for pictures) and 5. Eat a good lunch somewhere with Emily! So yep, I am squeezing in another small trip to visit with my BFF before they take off and MOVE!! (that's another story for a later day. I am holding back tears. Okay done with that. Sad feeling gone!!)
Happy Feelings are back and Here is the Link to Erin's blog to check out our most amazing pictures from Tuesday!!! Hope that you enjoy them as much as I did!!

Gonna cheat okay..........
Well I really don't want to sit here and upload like 30 pictures from all that I haven't uploaded in who knows how long, so my in my desperate attempt to try and be a good mom I got them all up on Facebook!!! Ask me if you need a link and I will e-mail it to you! They are all up in an album there.
This is a bonus video of Katy and her pothole commercial. This is what we do all day long. She did do it almost word for word before I turned the camera on, but isn't that just how it goes?? Enjoy!! :-)
You moms know how it is!!!

What a Day!
Yesterday was a super fun day of rain, then sun, then more rain and wind, and sun again. We got to do our pictures with Erin yesterday. Just click on her name and it will take you to her site. But first we actually had to get to Huntsville first. It was stormy outside with patches of sun along the way. During one part of the drive, I thought we were going to get blown off the road with wind and rain, but we made it safe to Emily's house for a short visit. I know it wasn't long enough, but we will be back again for another visit soon.
Pictures were good and I was so glad that my kids were not afraid to be out in the cool air to take pictures. All of them were so excited to take pictures! I think they did great and from what Erin told me the first half of the shoot looked amazing! I can't wait to see a sneak peak on Friday and get them all back in a few weeks. I am going to make a trip back up there to eat lunch with Emily and then go have a girls day and go through all the finished products!! I can't wait :-)
The best part of the day was finding out that I made the Dean's list for the semester I just finished and I got in A in Chemistry!!! It took me a few double takes to realize that I was looking at an A in my Chemistry class and not just the lab. I knew that I would be getting a B in my American Lit class, so that was the only one that I got. All the rest of my classes were A's! I am so excited not only for my grades, but that after an 8 year break from college I can still do it and get good grades. I expect them out of my 1st grader, so it shows that if I can do it so can she!
And our Biggest news of the week. Our house is SOLD! It's finally official and we are done. It sure has been a long road, but way better than other things that could have happened with the house. So now onto bigger and better things. Yes it does make me a little sad that we don't have a house anymore, but it's good in the sense that it's done and over with. I hope those new people enjoy the house and the great deal that they got! We wish them well and hope they love the garden that they got too in the deal!
I am so glad to have lived through the last 2 weeks of stress because of school, finals, birthdays, and more! I am enjoying my break even more now because of being stress free! Now it's time to get back to sewing! I can't wait and either can the kids. Ruby just told me yesterday in a very happy voice "Mom! You can sew again because you are not in school!!!" Yes my dear Ruby the sewing machine will be out and running really soon!!! Who needs a quilt?!?!?!

Here' s Your Sign
So I couldn't resist myself. As many of you know, we have several garden boxes in the back yard that are 16 feet long by 4 feet in width. I finally had our first load of dirt delivered on the grass back there. Alicia took the younger girls to gymnastics as normal for a Thursday night and I decided to start getting the dirt loaded into a wheel barrow to dump in several of the boxes in preparation to plant.
First of all you can smell the manure about 200 yards away at the house, so the smell is pretty strong. After about a half hour of working on this and having filled one of the boxes in it's entirety, I noticed an older woman passing by with her dogs. Sure enough, she asked the question and I couldn't help but have the following come to mind:
"Are you putting in a garden?"
"Nope! Just getting the dirt ready to bury my dead tractor!"
Here's your sign...
So how do YOU think she reacted?
Bill Engvall would be proud :)

Going MIA for a few weeks
The week before finals is finally here, so I might just be MIA for a week or two. Well just until a week from Tuesday when chemistry is over. Between now and next thursday, I have a total of 1 regular test in chemistry and my finals in all my other classes! That makes for a whoppin' total of 5 tests/finals in just 10 days, hopefully our house will close this week too, and we have Ruby's 4th birthday stuck in the middle. I am not really sure how I am going to get through this but I know I will. I promise that I will take lots of pictures of the birthday party at school and the BBQ on Friday night so everyone can see, but please don't question me if my hair is all messed up or it looks like I have been in the same clothes for a few days because that is probably the truth and my reality. Sleep deprived and lucky to get a shower. Ummmm........sounds like being pregnant or having a new baby, but thank goodness it is just FINALS WEEK!!!
Back to the chemistry book that I love to hate!

Easter Weekend
I have no idea how all my next paragraph went to blue and underlined for that, but oh well you will just have to deal with it!!! Hope that you enjoy them and the pictures from the park too! I am so thankful for warmer weather and that we can go outside and play!!
Happy Easter to All! I am trying to get the pictures from this week loaded onto my computer for all to see. Ruby had her Easter parade around the square this week and Katy got to join in the fun too. They all sang at Regions bank and visited a few of the stores on the square. The highlight was going to see Sherre, who owns the floral shop on the square. **Side note: She did our flowers for our wedding and all of Ben's flowers over the years, so the girls have gotten to know her well since we have moved here** They got balloons and were happy about that! The weather was super nice and check the Jacksonville News this week b/c Anita was there at the bank to take a picture of the whole class.
Hannah got to decorate an egg and have an egg baby to take care of for the day on Friday at school. I was thankful that I could sew once again and made a little skirt for the egg. We didn't have any craft glue, so we did what we could. She didn't seem to mind and had a great day with that egg baby of hers.
Tomorrow is Easter and I am excited. I am waking up early (I know I hear the "Alicia get out of bed early?!?!?) and I am going to head over to Ben's grave. I think it will be a super fun time to spend on Easter morning with my son. Easter is the season that gives me the hope and knowledge that I WILL see my son again, so why not spend a few minutes with him tomorrow? I am so thankful for what Christ did for each of us that we may live again. This is why Easter is my favorite holiday. I hope everyone has a great Easter day :-)
