Here I am blogging again instead of unpacking

Here is our SOLD Picture from when we first got our keys. I am sure that we will look back in many years and say that the kids were so small! Yes there was a ton of snow and there still is. I can't wait for spring! Don't you love our Sold Picture??

I find myself at my computer again thinking that keeping the blog updated is so much more important than getting stuff unpacked!! I guess that after 4 nights of almost NO sleep you want different priorities!! So I took some pics of the house and the point of unpacking that i am to already. I have an almost functional kitchen and that's all that matters right?!?!

oh did you notice that I got my hair cut?? I know that you can't really tell in the picture but with just me taking pictures you guys are gonna have to accept that this is the best that I can do for now. Maybe Steve will take a couple of me later...Wait let's not go there!!!!

here are my two dogs trapped behind the gate. they are getting big already.

Here is how I rigged up my internet!! The guys cut my phone wire and I have NO idea on how to redo a phone wire, so here is my white trash redneck version of getting on the net.

And Around the house we go....

And into the front door......Sorry I know, but a girl has to have her internet right??

Now into my Mud room.....It's a mess but all those clothes are clean mother. I just haven't folded and put away yet. I wonder where that video is of that lady who can fold a shirt with just a flip of her hand???

Here is my laundry closet. I am still not sure how my washer and dryer are gonna fit and be plugged into the wall. I am leaving this one for Steve today and let him figure it out.

Now onto my kitchen...It is right on the other side of my mud room. It is probably the most put away room right now. I know it has a lot of work left to do but what else can I do with a sick baby and husband that needed to study all weekend??

Here are the girl's rooms upstairs. They are great sizes and of course Hannah has the horses and Ruby has the flowers. That is my girls for you! They had so much fun putting their stickers up on their wall. I just wonder how long they are gonna stay up there???

Here is my dining room and my living room!! Katy and Ruby were the only ones home with me when I busted out my camera for the day!!

these last two are in my bathroom and looking into the little room off of it. We are going to make this into Katy's room eventually. We still have a lot of stuff to do to get it all together and look like we live in it!!

We Made the Full Circle.....

Back to Utah County!!

It's been a few years but we did it and are finally owners of our first home. We did the move with almost everyone sick, snow, and lots of help. Steve and I tried to get just about everything we could down into our old garage and living room, so it would be easier to load into the truck. The morning was great on Saturday. Clear skies and we dropped the girls (not Katy) along with the dogs off at my mom's house for the day. I took Steve to the truck place to get the truck and all was going well. Our only little kink in the day was that the truck didn't want to start for Steve and I had already headed back to the house. He eventually got it started and was on his way to the house for us to load up.

Me being in a hurry forgot to give my mom the car seats, new clothes, and food for the dogs, so I had to go back to my mom's to give her all that stuff. What help was I any way since I had a baby on my hip while stuff was getting packed?!?!? I just got to do all the errands that needed to be done anyway. We got the stuff loaded up and on its way while I stayed for just a while longer cleaning up all the little stuff that no one wants to pack anyway.

We got down to our new house and took a small break before we started unloading here. There were 4 guys that came from our new ward and it seems like it all was unloaded really quick! We were left with tons of stuff inside and the fun part begins. Unpacking!!! At least this time it should be a long time before I have to pack again! Twelve moves is enough for me!!

It was a long day on Saturday and of course it would snow off and on the whole time we have been in our new house. I think it has snowed more this year than any of the other years that we have been in Utah before.

I am getting some stuff done around the house. Today I got the cable turned on and got the computer up and running again. Those are essential right?!?! Here I am blogging again instead of unpacking. We didn't have as much stuff as I thought so it should be a pretty fast unpacking once I get started. Steve and I got our oven working last night too!! guess that it works better when the gas is actually turned on!! We had a good laugh at that one!

Well I guess that I should get going and do something today!! I will have pictures up soon of us unpacking and our new home. Hope all is well with everyone today!!

Just my luck! The Lord has a Sense of Humor!

Well for me it's suppost to be an awesome week since we are closing on our first home and moving on Saturday. This is our 12th move since we were married in December of 2000, so I am okay with the moving stuff. I have gotten it down to a fine science. No more card board boxes. Those don't last and the bugs love them. Plastic Bins are the way to go!!! Packing a little each day really does work.

Anyway on to the just my luck part. DH has been sick all last week which doesn't help much and you know men they don't want to go to the doctor, so after all my years of marriage I just don't waste my breath. He finally goes yesterday before church since it has been a week. My day at church was a disaster but that's a different story in and of itself. So finally he gets seen and comes back to church to tell me that he has the flu- type A!! WTH!! I didn't know that they type them out!! and on top of that he has a double ear infection!!!

GREAT!! So now he is really sick, It's snowing again today, now my older two girls are getting sick, and we are closing tomorrow. No one is gonna want to come and help me get the rest of my stuff packed with kids with the flu!!

**Side note** I got no sleep last night. Katy was up 4 times wanting to eat, DH was coughing up a lung downstairs on the couch, and Ruby was up twice. Once for something to drink and another b/c she had thrown up all over her bed and blanket. So I did a load of clothes and listened to her cry b/c her blanket got all dirty. This is my baby that has to have her blanket. She is burning up with a fever and I think Hannah is too!!

The Lord has to have a sense of humor b/c he wants to see me pack and move the rest of my stuff with a sick family!! I just hope that I don't get sick too!! This move is hard enough since it is suppost to snow again on Saturday. Of course when we want to move!!! this is the first time I am moving with 3 kids, 2 dogs, and a cat!!

I don't think my mom will watch my older two girls and dogs if the girls are sick!!! They don't want the flu, so I am not sure where or what I am going to do with them that day. I will just put them in the car and let them watch a movie!!! So if you could pray for me and laugh with me all at the same time b/c if I live through this week I think that I can get through most anything!!

Look at me I'm 7 months old

It's hard to believe that this past Saturday that Katy turned 7 months old! Where has the warm days of summer gone and my little baby that stayed in one place?? She is sitting up so great, the blue eyes are here to stay (I hope), and crawling is coming sooner than I want it too. I guess with her being the baby I am so okay with her not crawling or standing up just yet. I am savoring these last few days of a some what stay where you left her baby, but I know that it will soon all be over. I just hope that she doesn't get the hang of crawling before we move next week!!!

The video is more for the proud mom and everyone else probably will not find it all that interesting, but it was a few moments of quiet that Katy and I got a few days ago. I won't be offended if you don't want to watch a silly video! :-)

It's Time To Pack

Happy Monday to Everyone out there!!

It is our last FULL week in our rental house and we can finally say "Next Friday we will close on our OWN House!!" So after 12 moves with number 13 next Saturday, I think that I am in just a little bit of denial that we are actually signing our lives over to buy a house and that we are moving AGAIN. I swear we move all the time and I just don't want to get packed again.

Steve and I have moved all over and I think I have remembered all of our places from the first until now.

1. We lived in the cute little small house on Dogwood Circle that Emily had to get kicked out of. I still feel bad for that!!

2. Then we moved to Birmingham to our apartment over in Greensprings.

3. We up and decided that we needed to move to Provo to a 2 Bedroom apartment sight unseen was the key. It was a converted 2 car garage and let me tell you it was a reality check and to be in college. (That was about 2nd N and 4th E)

4. We moved from there, not really sure why, but then moved up 2 blocks on 4th of July (totally didn't know how big the parade was in Utah!!) That was the basement near 4th N and 4th East. We moved from there b/c of all the sewer that was coming from our door frame of our bathroom. Ammon and Jenn can tell you all about that house!! We also made our first move with Hannah in tow from here on out.

5. We moved another 4 blocks south to a house. That was fun and we stayed there until our friends needed our house to move into. They had 5 kids!!!

6. We then had a fun move. Literally across the street!!! And we managed in the 3 years that we lived in provo to stay in the same ward. How crazy is that?!?!?

We are half way through this crazy list so just hang in there with me!!

7. Our second move across the country to MD. Once again a townhouse sight unseen, but this one turned out great!! I was so proud that I unpacked in 12 weeks only to be told that as soon as I had unpacked my last box that I had to repack b/c we were moving to PA!!!

8. Here we go to another state and to PA!! A row house that was forever old and needed upgrades, but we were happy. Now I am moving with two Children b/c Ruby showed up during this time.

9. To the crazy apartment with the super crazy Fix it Guy (Remember Laila?!?!?)

10. Back across the country to a small nanny apartment while we were waiting on our house to be built!! We never bought that one, so we moved again.

11. We are in our house that we are in right now!! We collected Katy while we were in this house and guess that we are really only onto move number 12, but after this many moves what is the difference between move 12 and 13?!!?!?!?

Move 12 on Saturday January 26th. I hope that every one knows that all of these moves have been since Steve and I got married. It has been a wild ride and to know that we are going to be permanate in one house is kinda a crazy thought for me. It still amazes me that even through all of the moves we haven't lost any children or pets and still have friends that want to talk to us. I am so glad to finally tell everyone that they can write our address down in PEN this time instead of a 'pencil'.

This is why I don't want to pack or even think about how crazy the next two weeks are going to be for me!! So if you would like to come and help you are more than welcome to. We don't even have boxes we have plastic bins, so just load and pack. I need to be doing that right now, but here I sit still blogging. Oh well it will get done, just maybe not this morning.

Happy New Year and We Had TWINS

Happy New Year to all of our friends and family out there. We had a great New Year's Eve with great friends and got the twins too!! Okay...they are the four legged kind, but twins just the same.

So we added our two Beagle puppies which are 10 weeks old today. We decided to name them Freckles and Lucy. They seem to be getting along with the girls great and fit right into the family!! So our little Smith family is complete. Three girls, two dogs, and a cat. We are DONE!!

Ruby has been a riot lately with her version of 'Shirt' It comes out like something else and I finally got it on tape.
